Fine Art Murals
Murals are created to fill empty or vacant walls and ceilings with painted illusions of space and light in homes and businesses. Sketches and color palettes are generated by George Shadow for client approval. When they are accepted, the imagery is drawn on canvas or on the surfaces of the walls or ceilings for painting. Canvas is painted in the studio for later installation when possible. Sometimes the size of the mural, or the shape of the walls or ceiling require painting directly on the surface, which must be prepared to accept paint. Fine art materials are always used guaranteeing the quality and longevity of the work. The Foyer mural, for example, was painted with acrylics directly on the walls because of the curves of the bump-out balcony of the second floor. The Niche mural, on the other hand was painted with oils on linen canvas for later installation in the niche.
