The Sonoran Rose Marble is an example of a fantasy marble, so called because as such does not exist except as a painted effect. The clients needed to dress up the old black formica counter in the western clothing boutique. So George invented the Sonoran Rose Marble toned to harmonize with the decor of the boutique. It was painted in oils over the prepared surface.
